Eligible program participants must be covered under a certification or petition number. Petitions are filed with the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Trade Adjustment Assistance (OTAA); once approved the company will become TAA certified and any workers whose jobs have or will be threaten by foreign trade may participate in the TAA program.

The TAA program provides adversely affected workers with an array of benefits and reemployment services to help unemployed workers prepare for and obtain suitable work as quickly as possible. Eligible participants may receive the following services:

  • Employment and Case Management Services
  • Training
  • Trade Readjustment Allowances (TRA)
  • Health Coverage Tax Credit (HCTC)
  • Reemployment Trade Adjustment Assistance (RTAA)
  • Job Search Allowance
