Partnership. Accountability. Training. Hope. PATH is a program for families applying for cash assistance through the Family Independence Program, run jointly with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
We know that for a lot of Detroiters, the number of barriers that need to be overcome before they can even look for a permanent job can be a real problem.
The P.A.T.H. program requires that clients work one-on-one with both DHHS and DESC’s Michigan Works affiliates to identify barriers to employment and connect jobseekers with services to break down those barriers, allowing jobseekers to get onto a genuine career path.
Your challenges may include literacy, transportation and childcare, to name but a few. Experienced caseworkers help jobseekers to identify the barriers and overcome them.
To get involved with the P.A.T.H. program, please either visit your local Department of Health and Human Services office, or visit the State of Michigan ‘MI Bridges‘ page for more information.
