The Detroit Homecoming will continue into the fall with the new “Jobs in the D” job-matching event Thanksgiving weekend. crains_homecoming_job

Local companies will have a chance to meet people with Detroit ties but no longer living in the region, Crain’s Detroit Business Publisher Mary Kramer announced Friday morning to attendees of Detroit Homecoming.

Jobs in the D will feature two events: One on Nov. 25 in partnership with the Detroit affinity group Born & Raised Detroit, the other on Nov. 26 will be in connection with the NEXTGen program of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit.

The informal events will give employers a chance to be put in touch with candidates through a job-matching technology powered by WorkFountain as well as face-to-face meetings.

Employers interested in taking part in the event can contact Crain’s Sales Director Matt Langan at mlangan@crain.com. For questions about the event, contact special projects coordinator Keenan Covington at kcovington@crain.com.

Detroit Homecoming, now in its third year, is an event intended to re-engage former Detroiters who made their fortunes elsewhere with their hometown.
